Blastocyst Culture and Transfer

This is a very significant treatment for in vitro fertilization where the embryo is developed in the laboratory for 4-6 days post-fertilization. Due to this, the embryos add many cells and hence are more advanced as compared to the ones that are developed in just 3 days. These embryos are called Blastocysts. The biggest advantage of this method is that it significantly reduces the chances of multiple pregnancies. The success rate under this is much higher as it is easy to determine the robust embryos after 4-6 days as only the competent embryo gets transferred to the uterus.
