That embryo is implanted in the womb, which results in pregnancy. As far as egg donation is concerned, infertile couples seek the help of a woman who can donate eggs that are then fertilized and implanted in the womb of the desired mother. In the case where both male and female partners are infertile, embryo donation can be an option to look into. Under this, the embryo is developed using the sperm and the eggs of a donor couple and then implanted in the uterus of the female partner. The donor couple has to undergo a series of tests to check the quality of their sperm and eggs and determine whether the process would be feasible.
